People from all over the world travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to gamble at the huge casinos and to stay at the nearby hotels. Casinos are also located in Reno, Nevada and Atlantic City, New Jersey as well as in some of the states in the US and on American Indian reservations.
Casinos generally have many tables that are set up for various casino games, such as craps, blackjack, and poker. There are also rows and rows of gambling machines that are called slot machines that take money from pennies to large bills to operate. When a player wins the jackpot, light and bells go off to announce that the person is a winner.
Some of the popular casinos that are located in Las Vegas are the Luxor which looks just like a giant pyramid, the Bellagio, Treasure Island, and the Flamingo Las Vegas Resort. Most casinos have other amenities besides the casino, such as restaurants, spas, and nightly shows. The Flamingo Las Vegas Resort has a Caribbean-style casino, a Wildlife Habitat, a 15 acre Caribbean-style water playground, a lagoon pool with a waterfall that you can swim under, and a tropical bar and garden by the pool. The Las Vegas strip is so bright with millions of small lights on casinos, hotels, and other attractions that it can be seen from miles away.
