Ski slopes are one of the manmade attractions that can be found in the US. Slopes are built much like a real mountain slope, and once temperatures drop below freezing, snowmaking machines begin producing snow that is blown over the slope. These manmade attractions have ski lifts to take skiers to the top of the slope just as they would at a real mountain ski resort.
Some of the other manmade attractions that can be found in the US are Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Four giant faces of former presidents who greatly influenced American history are carved from the side of the mountain to look almost exactly like the real faces once looked. There are faces of George Washington, first president of the US, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.
Another amazing attraction that was manmade is the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. The bridge connects the city with Marin County, which is across the Golden Gate Straight. This suspension bridge was the tallest and longest suspension bridge at one time and was declared one of the Seven Wonders of the World by civil engineers who could appreciate its construction.
Orlando, Florida has many amazing manmade attractions including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios in Orlando, and other theme parks. Walt Disney World has an amazing Cinderella Castle and Epcot which features Spaceship Earth. Universal Studios has the latest Harry Potter Theme Park that is a replica of the setting of the famous Harry Potter books and movies.
Other theme parks have amazing manmade roller coasters made of wood or metal that defy gravity and thrill riders. There are gorgeous lakes and other manmade attractions at many of these parks as well as wave pools at water parks that imitate the waves of the ocean perfectly.
