Roller coasters, rides, shows, and lots of fun are at theme parks all across the United States. Each theme park has unique and special attractions that make it a bit different from other parks. One of the best known theme parks in the world is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. People from all over the world come to see Mickey Mouse and his friends at the Magic Kingdom with Cinderella’s Castle and Main Street USA where the Mickey Mouse characters parade through town. There are actually four theme parks located within Walt Disney World in Orlando. Besides the Magic Kingdom, there is Epcot which features Spaceship Earth.
Another famous and large theme park in the US is Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The rides and attractions at this park are based on popular television shows and movies. The latest is modeled after the popular Harry Potter books and movies and features a replica of the setting from these. Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia is a beautifully landscaped park with 10 hamlets that are inspired by European countries from Great Britain to Austria. There are rides and shows that revolve around the European countries as well.
Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio is theme park that has excellent reviews. It has 75 rides and 10 shows along with 17 roller coasters, including a wooden roller coaster that travels at 120 miles per hour and drops 400 feet at a 90 degree angle. Cedar Point has a water park as well. Kings Island is another theme park in Cincinnati, Ohio that features 80 rides and attractions. The park has 15 roller coasters and features the Beast, the world’s longest wooden roller coaster and the Son of Beast, a wooden roller coaster that is the world’s fastest and tallest wooden roller coaster. King’s Island is famous for their Nickelodeon Universe, a children’s section of the park that has won many awards.
