Charlotte, N.C. – The Seat of Mecklenburg County
Charlotte is the largest city in all of North Carolina and at the same time the seat of Mecklenburg county. This city is located in the southern part of the state of North Carolina near the state border of South Carolina. This area was first settled around 1750 and it was the center of the United State’s gold production. This city is the second-largest banking center in the United States.
The city of Charlotte celebrates a lot of events, however the best time to go to Charlotte would be when the city celebrates St. Patrick’s Day. A lot of people agree that the city celebrates St. Patrick’s Day like no other city in America.
Another big festival that the city of Charlotte celebrates annually is the “Art and Soul of South End Festival.” This festival celebrates the spirit, soul, and most importantly, what it means to be a real southerner by a bright and brilliant display of southern culture.
However, if you are into exploring the different delicacies, the best time to travel to the city would be when they are celebrating the “Taste of Charlotte” festival in June. This is the time when many of the city’s popular restaurants showcase their own taste and take on southern delicacies.
