America culture

There is more to the USA culture than blue jeans, high fashion, reality shows, and Hollywood movies. The United States of America is a melting pot of cultures. The country benefited from waves upon waves of immigration that led to a uniquely American mix of traditions and lifestyles. It is country that seamlessly combines the concepts of individuality and unity. To illustrate, each of the 50 states possesses a distinct cultural identity, with its own state flag, state flower, and state animal – but they are all united by a national bird, the bald eagle that is found in the country's emblem.

The individual states are proud of their football, baseball, and basketball teams. For example, a resident of Utah will always support the Utah Jazz and would not want to wear a shirt that advertised a different basketball team. But all Americans will rally behind the Olympics team, which is composed of basketball players from different states.

Each state also has its own set of state laws, but there are also federal laws that are uniformly implemented all over the country. And lastly, the US Census Bureau reported that there are 162 indigenous languages and 149 immigrant languages being spoken in the country but, of course, the English remains the national language.
