El Paso, Tex. is one of the largest cities in Texas. It is located on the far western part of Rio Grande across the border of Ciudad Juarez. During the time of King Philip II, Juan de Onate who took possession of the grand place called it “El Paso del Rio del Norte” which means the crossing of the river and thus the present name of El Paso, Tex. The place provides you with a panoramic view of the Huenco.

Its historical background is almost “reel.” In the 1800’s, this place was popularly referred to as the wild west and was known locally as the “Six Shooter Capital”. It has a great climate that attracts a lot of people.
El Paso, Tex. provides an important port for people crossing the United States of America to Mexico and vice versa. Most of its economic growth is attributed to its high technology, medical device manufacturing, plastics, refining, automotive, food processing and defense related industries. It is home to the University of Texas, Fort Bliss and celebrities like Manuel Acosta, Vicki Carr, Irene Ryan and Judith Ivey.
