Alabama's fourth largest city by population, Huntsville is a cultural center with plenty to offer in terms of attractions and amenities for visitors. Huntsville is home to three distinct historic districts (Twickenham, Five Points and Old Town), each of which is constructed in historic architectural styles dating from the early 19th century which lend a unique appeal to visitors.
Family visitors to Huntsville can visit the US Space and Rocket Center, a large museum marking American space history with a variety exhibits, artifacts and displays. The Huntsville Museum of Art houses collections from some of America's best known artists, and also runs year round courses for visitors of all ages. Each September, Huntsville opens its doors to Big Spring Jam, a weekend long music festival, a popular attraction for music lovers from across the state.
Huntsville is also home to a number of public and private golf courses, with over 12 in close proximity to the city, including the prestigious Huntsville Country Club course.
