Jersey City

America tours

Situated in the outlying New York area, Jersey City is one of New Jersey's main cities, and the second largest by population in the state.  An important industrial and commercial hub for New Jersey and the surrounding states, Jersey City is becoming an increasingly popular destination for visitors to New Jersey, with a variety of attractions and amenities in its own right.

The most famous of all Jersey City landmarks is the Statue of Liberty at Ellis Island, known the world over as a symbol of America. Partly in Jersey City and partly under the control of New York City, the Statue of Liberty is an iconic monument and an essential sight for visitors to Jersey City.

The Colgate Clock, the world largest, also resides in Jersey City, and attracts thousands of visitors every year.  The Katyn Memorial is also of interest, commemorating those killed in the Katyn Forest Massacre in 1940.
