Minneapolis is located in the southeast central part of Minnesota and it is the largest city in the state. The name of city comes from two words, one of Sioux origin namely the word “minna,” meaning water and the second from the greeks, the word “polis” meaning city. When the railroads connected Minneapolis to the rest of America it became to be known as the “Gateway to the Northern Great Plains.”

However, besides the fact that Minneapolis and its twin city of St. Paul are a center of industry and commerce, serving a large region they are also known to have a wide array of attractions.
