Northeastern USA

The northeast is the location of numerous industrialized cities. But the two major cities to visit are New York and Boston. New York is the city that never sleeps. It is sometimes called Manhattan, as well as the Empire City because of the Empire State building. Indeed, New York is the world-famous living Museum of American History. It is the location of Ground Zero. It has a Chinatown, a Little Italy, a Ukrainian Museum, and the Atlantis Marine World. New York is no just a representative of America, but also a representative of the whole world.

Boston, on the other hand, is a genuine American city. Just as the USA is a country of immigrants, Boston is a city of immigrants. It began as settlement of British colonizers, but in the late 18th century, the American colonists broke crates of tea bricks as a protest against the British rule. The defiant act inspired other Americans and it hastened the revolution. Today, that event is deceptively called the Boston Tea Party.

Then, as centuries passed, Boston's economy skyrocketed and made the city highly industrialized. Waves upon waves of immigrants came in the middle of the 20th century and Boston is now one of the largest megalopolis on the northeastern region of the country. But Boston nickname is still the Walking City of America. Tourists, to appreciate the best of Boston, must explore the city on foot. There museums, parks, trails, and historic destinations. For those who like beer, they can visit the Samuel Adams Brewery. And the clam chowder is a must try for this destination!
