The third biggest city in the San Diego region, Oceanside sits on the Californian coast, and is home to 180,000 residents. A popular location for water sports and beach recreation, Oceanside is a fast growing city with a youthful, progressive population. Home to the world's second biggest beach football championships in May each year, the Beach Soccer Championships attracts thousands of spectators and competitive teams from across the world.
Oceanside is home to the California Surf Museum, a permanent attraction filled with exhibits on the history and culture of surfing in the Oceanside area of California. In September, Oceanside hosts its annual Harbor Festival which takes place over three days across the city. The Pier is also a particularly popular attraction, and is the longest of its kind on the Californian coast, popular for fishing and entertainment.
Mount Ecclesia, located just outside the city, is a spot of outstanding natural beauty, and is a popular draw amongst visitors and residents throughout the year.
