The city of Thousand Oaks is situated in the state of California, just over 10 miles from the Pacific Coast. The city has reserved a vast amount of landscape for outdoor recreation, so that residents and tourists can make the most of the local animals and woodland areas, in what is a predominantly warm climate.
The city has a number of historical sites for tourists and residents to visit, including Pederson House and Water Tower, and the Stagecoach Inn Museum, which is situated to next to an old schoolhouse and blacksmith's shop, and a sycamore tree that is thought to have been standing since the mid-nineteenth century.
As one of the most popular activities within this city is Golf, and there are a large number of golf courses, including a public course in the local area for visitors to make use of. For shopping within Thousand Oaks, there is also the Oaks Mall, which features over 100 different stores.
